CNBC: Ignoring the effects of climate change will cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars, with a large part of that loss connected to farms that struggle to adapt and coastal lands flooded by the oceans, according to a report released this week.

Lincoln Journal Star: Opponents of the Keystone XL pipeline celebrated the passage of another regulatory deadline as the project remains tangled in governmental and legal red tape. TransCanada’s permit to build a 36-inch-diameter pipeline through South Dakota, issued June 29, 2010, gave the company four years to begin construction.
