UK floods: Homes ‘left exposed’ by Environment Agency job cuts

Telegraph: The ability to cope with floods in England and Wales could be put at risk because of government cuts to the Environment Agency that will result in the loss of hundreds of front-line staff. Officials working on flood risk management will be sacked as the agency sheds about 15 per cent of its workforce to save money.
