Associated Press: As hundreds of protesters flocked to a Hawaii mountain to stop workers from resuming construction on a giant telescope that many people oppose, police arrested a man Wednesday.
The man was arrested on Mauna Kea and was being transported to a police station in Hilo, said Hawaii County police Assistant Chief Henry Tavares. He didn`t immediately know details of the arrest.
Protesters oppose the $1.4 billion Thirty Meter Telescope because it will be built on land held sacred by many Native Hawaiians.......
