Reuters: The European Commission has approved including oil sands in the European Union’s fuel quality directive, which aims to help suppliers identify the most carbon-intensive fuels, an EU source told Reuters on Tuesday.
Under the European Union’s fuel quality directive, which calculates greenhouse gas emissions from a range of transport fuels, other fuels were dealt with by the end of last year.
